New Ebook Reader Cybook Gen3

Comments

I think I'm gonna fight the e-book tooth and nail. I just can't see myself curling up on the couch with one of those things. I like the idea of turning actual pages, there's something about it that's kind of comforting.
It's almost one of those things you really have to play with before you buy it. I have never personally tried an Ebook reader so I really can't say if I would use it for everyday reading. But this is certainly something that our very young kids will be using years down the road. No more carrying around books at school that's for sure.
I am sure Cimmy will reserve her most favorite books to print. But she's the daughter of a science teacher, and she's lovin' her PDA right now.

For me, I would much rather have an e-book reader that is small and compact rather than many, many books that will contribute to the difficulty of our next move. This technology has been much refined as of late, and so I expect better and better things to come.

Also, understand: I am a periodicals kind of guy. If it comes out in print on a regular basis, you can practically bet the farm that I pick it up and read it when I see it. The problem is that periodicals especially accumulate clutter fast.

It sounds VERY bizarre, but I'm not as fond of WIRED as a website, as I am of it as a magazine. If digital readers become a viable means to read periodicals (and can upgrade to all the photos, as well), I'd be willing to give it a shot.

I'm with you, have to be able to read periodicals. I won't even turn one on if I know it won't do at least that.
